The original of this dramatic drinking horn was found near Stavanger, Norway. Similar horns have been found throughout Scandinavia and date from about A.D. 900. Vikings drank mead (honey wine), that oldest of beverages, and had fruit wines and beer from bog myrtle. If you can't find these, use it for Carlsberg beer, as we do - but it has no favorites. It holds about 14 oz (250 cl) and is about 11-3/4 inches long (30 cm).
