The Viking Raiders computer mouse pad features an authentic reproduction of a famous French Medieval manuscript from the 11th Century. A fleet of attacking Viking ships was a terrifying sight. The Vikings spread fear and horror wherever their attacks took place. French monasteries were an easy catch. The French monk who painted this picture in the 11th century, approximately 100 years after the end of the Viking Age, never experienced a Viking raid himself. Therefore some minor details are incorrect. The shields used by the Vikings were round shields with a round center boss. The kite shaped shields portrayed in this picture were from the 11th century, the time in which the artist lived. Also the spear heads are not of the Norse type as well. In spite of the monks errors regarding historical accuracy, the artistic testimonial of this picture has made it a famous piece of Medieval art. Measures 9" tall by 7" wide.
NOTE: for some strange reason this mouse pad does not work well with Macintosh optical mice. However, it works just fine with PC optical mice.
